A leaked WhatsApp message from Bruno Fernandes has shown he isn't afraid to rip into his teammates - something Manchester United fans will likely adore.

Fernandes has been a revelation at United since arriving from Sporting Lisbon in the January transfer window.

His incredibly high standards have been praised by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and it's clear to see he has those standards wherever he plays.

Portuguese publication Record have obtained messages from the 25-year-old's time as Sporting captain and he can be heard slamming teammates for 'chasing money'.

The voice messages read per Daily Mail: "Bro, I don't say anything! I honestly, if you want me to tell you, I'd rather not comment on anything.

"I think very badly of some of the attitudes of some players. Actually not a certain attitude, it's an attitude that does not exist.

"There are players who have no attitude here, bro. They don't want to be here, they don't want to play.

"They don't want to be here then f*** off, let them say they don't want to play. They spend a year here getting money, and then they f*** off, bro. S*** attitude bro, for f**** sake."

It's the kind of mentality United fans will say has been missing from their side for the last half decade.

Since the Portuguese midfielder arrived at Old Trafford, the Red Devils haven't lost a game and Fernandes has contributed with three goals and four assists.

Another example of Fernandes' fiery attitude shone through against bitter rivals Manchester City earlier this month.

He shushed City boss Pep Guardiola on the touchline to the delight of many United fans.

Fernandes told Sky Sports he made the gesture in 'the heat of the moment'.

"I talked about this with some friends. Some people think like, 'Pep won everything, who is Bruno to do this to him?'

"But I think this is about respect and now, outside of the pitch, calm, I don't think I do this again if I am on the pitch now.

"At that moment, the words he told me made me mad and on the pitch I am a little bit nervous and it's the kind of player I am.

"I have respect for Pep and what he did for football because he changed some mentalities but in this moment I think he didn't respect me and he doesn't deserve my respect at that moment on the pitch."
