Barcelona are nearing a deal for Arturo Vidal after the midfielder agreed personal terms with the side.
The Chile international has enjoyed an illustrious career at top sides, including Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Juventus, but now at the ripe old age of 31, he's set to join his biggest ever club, with a move to the Nou Camp on the cards, according to The Guardian.
Vidal had a superb career with Juventus and after four years there, he moved to Germany in 2015 for a fee reported to be around £31 million.
Not only does Vidal have a wealth of talent at his disposal, he has the attitude and die-hard determination that's able to turn a game around. He's one of the few players in the game who truly is skilled in almost every department, whether that's passing, shooting or defending, he's got it all. It's no wonder why Barca have swooped in to acquire the services of the veteran midfielder.
But many are baffled as to why Barca want to sign a player for this price at such as old age.
Barcelona's transfer activity has struck an interest with supporters of late. Where they once relied on the academy players, with the likes of Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Xavi coming through, they now are, arguably, looking for a quick-fix, though many Barca fans would likely disagree with that assessment.

According to the same publication, Barça are also close to completing the switch of Senegal defender Moussa Wagué - the player who became the youngest African to score in the World Cup finals in over the summer. Busy times for Barcelona.
