Antoine Griezmann has been accused of making a derogatory remark towards Asian language in a leaked video - with Griezmann responding to the accusations on social media.

The Barcelona forward was part of Didier Deschamps' France squad at Euro 2020 this summer, before their elimination at the hands of Switzerland last week.

His club and national teammate, Ousmane Dembele, has been accused this week of mocking Asian hotel workers during Barcelona's pre-season tour of Asia in 2019.

Another video from that tour has now emerged with Griezmann the focus and he allegedly says: "Ching chong," while relaxing in a pool.

Griezmann is alongside Dembele and Samuel Umtiti in the video and both men don't react to the comment.

He took to Twitter on Monday afternoon to address the situation.

Griezmann explained: "I have always been committed against any form of discrimination. For the past few days, some people have wanted to pass me off as the man I am not. I firmly refute the accusations made against me and I am sorry if I could offend my Japanese friends."

It comes after Dembele was accused of calling Asian a 'backwards language' in a Snapchat video.

Dembele is believed to have said to Griezmann: "All these ugly faces, just so you can play PES [Pro Evolution Soccer], aren't you ashamed?"

He later adds, "What kind of backward language is that?" and "Are you technologically advanced in your country or not?"

Griezmann doesn't speak in that video and can only be seen reacting to Dembele's comments.

France's last-16 exit has seen reports of bust-ups between players and their families emerge.

Adrien Rabiot's mother clashed with the family of Kylian Mbappe in the stands, as well as Paul Pogba's family.

Mbappe is also said to be 'jealous' of Griezmann's importance to the national team.

Mbappe reportedly demanded the return of Karim Benzema, which affected Griezmann's position.

He also behaves selfishly, per the report - unlike the former Atletico Madrid forward who seeks more collectivity within the team.

Deschamps played down any idea of ill will in a post-match interview and said the squad are still united.

Per Evening Standard he said: "There is a unity and solidarity in this squad. I am responsible, when things go badly, I am with them, they are with me. We will need to time to manage this.

"We did what we needed to in order to go 3-1 up and then we showed weakness, something unusual for us. Losing on penalties is always cruel for a team."
