Newcastle grabbed a well-deserved draw with Liverpool on Saturday, coming from behind to get a draw against what are still, for now, the reigning Premier League champions.

The point may have been made all the sweeter by the late drama that saw Joe Willock score with one of the last touches of the game just minutes after the Magpies had had a goal disallowed by VAR.

One of the main targets for Liverpool fans in the aftermath of the dropped points was forward Sadio Mane, who many felt could have done better with the chances afforded him.

One Reds supporter was so disappointed in the Senegal international that they asked one of their opponents to replace him at Anfield in the next transfer window.

Allan Saint-Maximin is the envy of many Premier League clubs, with his three goals and four assists in 20 top flight appearances this season underrating his importance on the pitch.

However, despite these performances giving him plenty to shout about, the winger showed some class towards one of his opponents on Saturday.

The 24-year-old asked the unhappy fan to show Mane more respect, and claimed that it will be along time before hi reaches the level of the Liverpool forward.

After the supporter asked for a swap deal with Mane, Saint-Maximin said: "I know you think it's a nice message to me but I don't like this. Be respectful to him please you are ungrateful, he did and he's doing a lot for Liverpool, there still a long way before I could reach his level."

Despite being seen as out of form this campaign, Mane still has eight goals and five assists in 30 Premier league appearances.

What do you think? Is Saint Maximin still a way off getting to Mane's level?
