Alfredo Morelos has reportedly found a man 'tampering' with the breaks of his car.

Per The Scottish Sun, the Rangers striker discovered the individual under his car after returning home with his pregnant wife.

The Colombian apparently notified authorities and the man fled.

Police Scotland have confirmed they had been contacted by Morelos about the incident and his car is set to be analysed.

Kenny McDonald, Police Scotland Detective Inspector, told Sky Sports News: "Following reports of a man allegedly tampering with a car in a secured car park in Glasgow last night (Tuesday).

"I can confirm that we have removed the vehicle for examination. At this time no criminality has been established."

Rangers also commented on the situation, stating: "We are aware of an incident involving Alfredo's car and this has been reported to the police. We can say nothing further at this stage."

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard discussed the incident following Wednesday's 2-0 victory over Ross County.

Per MirrorOnline, Gerrard praised the 23-year-old for staying focused on the job amidst all the drama.

"I haven't had a chance to speak to Alfredo as I was only made aware a couple of hours before kick-off.

"But I'm told it's a police investigation now, so we'll support that and there's not much I can say on the incident. The good thing is Alfredo's fine.

"It's a very unfortunate situation and not one that happens to you every day, but he's fine because that's the way he is, pretty laid back.

"He handled the situation extremely well, probably better than I would have done."

Morelos has had a torrid time recently and was allegedly racially abused against Celtic last month.

He made a 'throat-cutting' gesture as he left the pitch and police confirmed they were probing 'offensive social media material'.
