Sir Alex Ferguson paid Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino a huge compliment back in 2013.

When the current Spurs manager was at Southampton, the team was struggling in the relegation. They played Man United and it drew high praise from Ferguson

"Winning is the name of the game at this stage of the season," said Ferguson.

"For the first 30 minutes I thought we were fantastic, we played really well. But in the second half Southampton have been the best team to play here this season. We were fortunate to win the game. They pushed on top of us and didn't give us any time on the ball."

It's a massive compliment from Ferguson.

Many Man United supporters are unhappy with how the club is being run at the moment. Jose Mourinho enjoyed success in his first season, but his second year in charge saw a drop in form, with the 3-0 defeat ensuing a mini crisis.

The start of this season, Man United have got off to a poor start. Mourinho expressed his desire for reinforcements at centre-backs - but the moves that were reported on the last day of the transfer window fell through, with just a few names coming through, the biggest being Fred.

Pochettino, by contrast, has had barely no money to spend. Yet he still has managed to keep Spurs in the top four and winning big games.
