Micah Richards. Remember him? That young England prospect who scored the winning goal in the FA Cup that time and then swore live on TV?

Well, he's finally been let go by Aston Villa, after an incredible 665-day absence from football.

He last played in October 2016, when Villa drew 1-1 with Wolves. And he hasn't played since.

The 30-year-old, who is on £35,000-a-week contract at Villa Park, making him one of Villas' highest earners, has now been let go. He was last in the club's squad way back in September 2017 - but now he's out of the door now.

According to a local publication, the Birmingham Mail, Ross McCormack is another player set to follow his lead. Manager Steve Bruce had a massive public bust-up with the former Fulham player, and now it appears as though he'll be on the way out.

In other news for the Villians, Jack Grealish will be offered a brand new deal amid rumors linking him to Spurs, and Villa are also reportedly keen on bringing Real Madrid starlet Martin Odegaard on loan.
