The Premier League is well and truly back in action and what a few days we've had since the league's restart...

Goal-line technology scandals, last-minute acrobatic winners and Newcastle United striker Joelinton finally scoring a Premier League goal at St James' Park all in just the space of a few days and the feature game of the weekend is still to come tonight.

The Merseyside Derby headlines the weekend's fixture list with league leaders Liverpool travelling to neighbours Everton with the prospect of lifting their first ever Premier League title in 30 years firmly in their sights.

Although they can't officially clinch the title tonight, Jurgen Klopp's men will move to within just a win of securing their status as Premier League champions if they pick up all three points against Carlo Ancelotti's side this evening.

Both teams have been blighted by injuries in the build-up to the Merseyside Derby with The Toffees now without the services of injured pair Yerry Mina and Theo Walcott, while Liverpool won't be able to call upon star man Mohamed Salah from the start for the big fixture at Goodison Park tonight as he only managed to make the bench, having missed training earlier in the week.

Many expect Liverpool to breeze past their neighbours and make their 45 point advantage over Everton really show but given how many shocks we've had since the restart, it will certainly be an intriguing affair either way.

The reverse fixture earlier this season was in absolute goal-fest with the league leaders coming out on top with a 5-2 win in a seven-goal thriller and let's hope we get served up with a similar spectacle this evening!

Who do you think will win tonight and claim the bragging rights? Let us know in the comments...
