If there's one stat that sums up Manchester United's current woes, it's probably this one.

Manchester United's woes in front of goal are so bad that Scott McTominay is their joint leading top-scorer since April.

The Scottish midfielder has hit the net three times since the beginning of April, a feat that none of his team-mates have managed to beat.

It's an alarming stat for Red Devils supporters and shows just how far they have fallen that a 22-year-old central midfielder tops the score sheet.

The stat has been doing the rounds on social media, and paints a bleak picture for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

McTominay found the net in United's clashes with Wolves and Huddersfield late last season, and scored a rocket against Arsenal at Old Trafford last month.

During the same period, only Marcus Rashford and new signing Daniel James have scored as many goals as McTominay.

Anthony Martial has found the net twice this season, and Paul Pogba scored two in a win over West Ham back in April.

Juan Mata also scored in a 1-1 draw with his former side Chelsea towards the end of the last campaign.

Mason Greenwood also has two goals against Rochdale in the Carabao Cup and Astana in the Europa League.

McTominay will have an even bigger job on his hands against Liverpool on Sunday with Pogba out injured.

Manchester United will also be without David De Gea, who was injured on Spain duty this week, for the visit of the Premier League leaders.
