Mateo Kovacic Sent-Off In FA Cup Final After Questionable Booking

By Mike Parrott

Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic has been sent-off in the second half of the FA Cup final after two yellow card bookings.

Mateo Kovacic has had an FA Cup final to forget after being sent-off in the second half of the FA Cup final after two bookings.

Even though there is no debate regarding Kovacic's first bookable offense, the second booking was incredibly controversial with him barely grazing Arsenal midfielder, Granit Xhaka.

Here is the foul that got Kovacic sent-off.

VAR cannot be operated for a second bookable offense, and can only be used for straight red card offences.

Fans on Twitter though are debating with the decision for Kovacic to be sent off:

Arsenal are currently 2-1 up after a brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Christian Pulisic opened up the scoring for Chelsea but had to be taken off after a supposed hamstring injury.

More to follow.
