Even though there is no debate regarding Kovacic's first bookable offense, the second booking was incredibly controversial with him barely grazing Arsenal midfielder, Granit Xhaka.
Here is the foul that got Kovacic sent-off.

VAR cannot be operated for a second bookable offense, and can only be used for straight red card offences.

Arsenal are currently 2-1 up after a brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Christian Pulisic opened up the scoring for Chelsea but had to be taken off after a supposed hamstring injury.
