It's the most glamorous position in your squad. In Football Manager 22, strikers are primarily here to get you goals, and they'll hopefully be showing up on post-match reports with player of the match performances regularly. Getting youngsters in is even better, as the more you play them the better they become.
So, here are the best FM22 strikers to sign in FM22. These players can start developing at a younger age than other positions and will come into their primes in their mid-to-late-20s, so you won't even have to wait as long as you have for the best defenders and midfielders. Remember, there's no substitute for good scouting, but this is a great starting point if you want wonderkids to bring guaranteed goals and glory to your team.

Erling Haaland

If you haven't been living under a rock you'll know just how good Erling Haaland is. An essential player for anyone who can win the inevitable bidding war that'll happen for this guy, you'll be unsurprised to learn that at just 20 years of age he already has absolutely everything in his locker. A deadly finisher, an absolute speedster, and an intelligent teammate, you won't struggle to get production out of the Norwegian Terminator.
Youssoufa Moukoko

It's a bit of an embarrassment of riches for Dortmund when it comes to young striking options. Once Haaland is inevitably snapped up by a huge, rich club, the next step is to develop the next greatest young star up front, and Moukoko has what it takes. He's prohibitively expensive for a 16-year-old, but if you find a way to get him on your team, you won't regret it. By his early 20s he'll be good enough to bang in goals galore in any division, and from there the sky really is the limit.
Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer

Looking for a less pricy option? Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer is the player for you. Whilst he hasn't set the world alight as the two above have, but that'll all come in good time. Königsdörffer already has a great deal of technical ability, and for his price, you won't find a better option to develop into one of the best strikers in the world. He's a good playmaker too - perfect as part of a front two if that's how your tactic lines up.
João Pedro

João Pedro is a jack of all trades up front, and at just 19 years of age, the value of that can't be overstated. Having proven his worth in the Championship last season, he's ready to start tearing the Premier League up, and in a few short seasons, he'll be close to the top of the scoring charts if you can sign and train him effectively. Proficient out wide and in the middle, this Brazilian goal-getter will do excellently throughout his career in FM22.
Mason Greenwood

Mason Greenwood is still only 19. How is he already in his third season of Premier League play? Often forced out wide in his time at real-life Manchester United, you can put him at the Number 9 role where he'll truly excel. Make Greenwood the main scorer and focal point of your attack and you absolutely won't regret it. He's utterly clinical.
Dane Scarlett

Although an extremely raw prospect, Dane Scarlett is destined to become the next goal machine for Spurs once Harry Kane hangs up his boots or moves on from the club. He's not quite the same sort of player though - Scarlett is going to perform a lot better as a quick striker, getting in behind the opposition with smart runs and a little bit of trickery. He'll be a fun one to develop into a superstar, that's for sure.
Fabio Silva

Wolves' Fabio Silva hasn't featured a huge amount in the real Premier League campaign, struggling to nail down a spot behind Raúl Jiménez and Hwang Hee-Chan, both of whom are performing fantastically. However, in Football Manager 22, there's no need to worry. Fabio Silva is a young player with all the existing attributes to succeed at the top level, and the potential to grow into that role. Give him time and you'll enjoy his returns thoroughly.
Karim Adeyemi

Compared to some of the players on this list, Karim Adeyemi is an absolute bargain. He's actually a bit of a deal even outside of this context though, as his potential is absolutely astronomical if you can find a place for him in your squad. Adeyemi is a lightning-fast striker, one who'll strike fear into your opponents' pixelated centre-backs every time he makes a cutting run.
Lorenzo Lucca

Sick of having to play with all these technical strikers who force you to change your playstyle just for them? Well, have I got the striker for you. Measuring in at over 6'7 with a heading stat to match, Lucca is the perfect target forward for any team looking to use a player like that. Even if you aren't though, he's a fine finisher who won't struggle to find a way into your starting lineup.
Matías Arezo

- Age: 18

- Transfer Value: £150k-£1.5m
A cheaper option to round off this list, Arezo is a really well-rounded striker. With a bit of training, you can make him a complete forward for your side, and with a natural fitness attribute of 18, he's got a long career ahead of him. With just one year left on his River Plate deal now is the time to pounce, but if you can, you'll be able to make Arezo into whatever kind of striker you want.
