A hilarious Twitter thread comparing Manchester United players to rival stars after just one game has gone viral.

ManUtdMindset account have been highlighting stats of some Red Devils players alongside players such as Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and even Frank Lampard.

The shamelessly funny thread has over 1,000 likes on each tweet where a comparison is made.

New signing Daniel James scored on debut in Manchester United's 4-0 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday, a fact not lost on Red Devils fans.

His stats of one appearance and one goal this season sit favourably next to Liverpool's Mane, who has one appearance and no goals.

And the same can be said of Marcus Rashford with his two goals in one game, compared to Salah who scored once.

Andreas Pereira also comes off well in the game of stats with one assist to his name this season compared to Tottenham's Christian Eriksen, who has zero.

But the best tweet of all was the one highlighting Anthony Martial's perfect start to the campaign.

The French forward has more goals in the 2019-20 campaign than Premier League legend Thierry Henry.

At least Manchester United fans are enjoying their start to the season after a miserable campaign last year.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side visit Wolves on Monday night looking to follow up their 4-0 thrashing of Chelsea to begin their season.
