Manchester United have slipped to tenth in the newly released UEFA coefficient, with rivals City now leading the way among the Premier League clubs.
The 2021/22 rankings also show reigning Champions League holders Chelsea in fourth, while Liverpool are still just above the Blues in third.
Manchester City, who were beaten in last season's Champions League final, are up from last year's placing of third. Liverpool too have climbed significantly, as the Merseyside club was ninth on the list just 12 months prior.

United are paying the price for a group stage exit in last year's Champions League, in addition to a crushing Europa League final loss to Villareal on penalties.
It leaves Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men in tenth, which is down three places from last seasons rankings.
They aren't the biggest fallers in the top ten though - that honour instead goes to Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants were ranked second last year, but are now down to seventh after a string of underwhelming campaigns in Europe.
Bayern Munich are still top, in spite of their Quarter-final defeat to French side PSG - who are seventh on this year's list.
Juventus may not have made it past the Round of 16 in the Champions League for the past two seasons, but the Old Lady is still hanging onto a top ten position in the rankings in eighth.
Spanish club Atletico Madrid are just above United in ninth, partly thanks to a superb domestic season in which Diego Simeone's side won the La Liga title.

Just outside of the top 10 are North London rivals Arsenal and Spurs, with the two clubs 12th and 14th respectively - following disappointing Premier League campaigns.
The Gunners, currently managed by Mikel Arteta, are seemingly reaping the benefits of reaching the Semi-final stage of the Europa League last season, which has now helped the club to creep up UEFA's coefficient this season.
