Despite having a reputation as an arrogant player with an oversized ego, Cristiano Ronaldo has proven on numerous occasions that deep down he has a heart of gold.
The Portuguese superstar has never forgotten where he comes from, and often provides support for upcoming players behind the scenes, frequently championing young Portuguese talents.

And nothing exemplifies this more than the Juventus forward's latest stunt.
After Portugal's U17 women's team reached the elite round of Euro 2020 qualification, Cristiano Ronaldo sent every player a new pair of boots and this letter:

"When I was a child I had simple, but very crazy dream. No, it wasn't one of those dreams you have whilst you are sleeping. This was one of those dreams you want so much it keeps you awake at night.

"It's so important to have a dream. It's even more important to work hard to achieve it.

Keep an eye out for the Portuguese team at the next U17 World Cup- with an endorsement like that, they're sure to go far.
