Lionel Messi Makes Emotional Final Statement On His Barcelona Future
The six-time Ballon d'Or winner attempted to leave the Camp Nou earlier this summer after becoming disillusioned with their direction.
After a huge debate surrounding the release clause in Messi's contract he decided to stay - but still managed to get his shots in during a brutally honest tell-all interview.
The 33-year-old is ready to put it all behind him however and he told Spanish publication SPORT: "After so many disagreements, I would like to put an end to it.
"All Barca fans must unite and assume that the best is yet to come.
"I take responsibility for my mistakes, if there were any - they were only to make a better and stronger Barca.
"Adding passion and enthusiasm will be the only way to achieve the objectives - always united and rowing in the same direction."
He went on to add: "If fans were bothered by anything I said or did, I did it thinking about the best for the club."

A tearful Suarez broke down at his farewell press conference and Messi took to Instagram to criticised the club heavily.
He went on to add the situation left him "hurt" and he could not let it pass without saying his peace.
"Instagram post about Suarez? I understand that there will be those who think I should have let it pass, as I've done with so many other subjects, but many things hurt me in recent weeks and it was my way of expressing it.
"I always play to win and I always give everything on the pitch. Those who know me, know that I can't let go of that habit. It has been like that throughout my entire career and that's not going to change."
On the pitch, Barcelona got their La Liga campaign off to a flyer with a 4-0 win over Villarreal on Sunday.
All four goals came in the first half, with Ansu Fati scoring two and winning a penalty which Messi coolly dispatched.
Pau Torres' own goal ensured it was the perfect start to Ronald Koeman's reign.
