Kylian Mbappe Will Supposedly Be On The Cover Of FIFA 21

By Mike Parrott

Kylian Mbappe could become the new cover-star for EA's annual FIFA games, starting with FIFA 21. The PSG star was supposedly in competition with teammate Neymar over the opportunity to become the new face.

French and Paris Saint-Germain superstar, Kylian Mbappe, has had an incredible season with the French giants, winning the Ligue 1 title, as well as taking home the golden boot award for most goals with 18.

Even though the Champions League still hasn't been concluded, PSG see themselves in the quarter-finals and await their return in August. This came after their amazing win over two-legs against Borussia Dortmund with Neymar scoring twice over the legs.

His young career already consists of Ligue 1 titles and a World Cup, but Mbappe might be receiving another award this season, albeit this time in the virtual world. This comes after reports that Kylian Mbappe may be named as the new cover-star of EA's annual game, FIFA 21.

According to publication, PSG Culture:

"French international and PSG attacker Kylian Mbappé has been chosen by EA Sports as the cover player for their FIFA 21 video game."

The outlet claims that the game makers had initially been hesitating between Neymar and Mbappé, but eventually opted for the ex-AS Monaco man. The decision was taken several weeks ago.

Former PSG players such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic missed out on the FIFA cover back when he was playing for the French capital, and current star Neymar has never made the cover. Mbappe will be the first for a PSG player since Guillaume Hoarau on FIFA 10.

The FIFA 20 cover was donned by Eden Hazard, after joining Real Madrid from Chelsea last summer.
