Hugo Rodallega has reminded us all of his talent after scoring a sublime volley in the Turkish Super League.

Rodallega is mostly known for his Premier League stints with Wigan Athletic and Fulham and could be considered a cult hero.

He's currently plying his trade in Turkey for Denizlispor and put his side ahead in yesteday's clash with Genclerbirligi with a ridiculous strike from outside the box.

The 34-year-old receives a chipped ball out wide and decides to strike it first time from outside the box.

To the dismay of goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt, the ball loops straight over his head and nestles in the left hand side of the net.

It put Rodallega's side 1-0 up and they managed to hold on to their lead proving it was a strike 'good enough to win any game'.

Twitter reacted to Rodallega's goal and fondly remembered the former Colombia international.

Some have also compared it to his stunning strike against Aston Villa back in 2009.

Many have brought up statements that Rodallega made when he was younger in which he compared himself to Lionel Messi.

Both players featured at the South American U-20 Championship back in 2005 which was won by Colombia.

Rodallega also won the Golden Boot after scoring 11 goals, while Messi came a distant second with five goals.

Following the tournament as quoted in Messi - 2018 Updated Edition: More Than a Superstar, Rodallega went on to claim:

"I am undoubtedly better than Messi but the big difference is that he plays for Barcelona and I play for [Deportes] Quindio".

Premier League fans might remember Rodallega fondly but it's safe to say his claims of being better than Messi haven't come true.
