Ipswich Town striker James Norwood has hilariously used 'The People's Elbow' as a celebration paying homage to The Rock who has responded to the gesture on Twitter.
After netting against Bolton Wanderers over the weekend, Norwood's celebration on the pitch was rather muted.
Although on Twitter, the Ipswich media team posted a much funnier celebration.

The post to announce the summer signing's goal saw Norwood carry out 'The People's Elbow', a wrestling move popularised by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.

The attention to detail must be commended as the 28 year-old removes an elbow pad before hitting the move, just as the former WWE Champion used to.
He also 'ran the ropes' before dropping the elbow to conclude the celebration.
The Rock himself has now commented on the celebration, praising Norwood's execution of the move.

It's the second time in two weeks the striker has adopted the persona of an 'Attitude Era' icon.
Last week, Norwood paid homage to 'Stone Cold Steve Austin' by crashing two cans together and chugging down.
His celebrations have even been commended by the WWE, who stated:

"We can definitely smell (and appreciate) what they have cooking."
Norwood himself also seems to be enjoying the notoriety these celebrations are bringing him.
Following The Tractor Boys 5-0 win he tweeted about the result with another nod to Hollywood star Johnson.

One Ipswich fan seemed keen on getting The Rock down to Portman Road.
Some fans were keen to point out Norwood dropped the opposite elbow that 'The People's Champ' used to back in the day.
But you have to think Norwood won't let that get him down about trying out more moves in the future.
Perhaps he should try 'The Worm' next time?
