Flamengo player Lincoln had a priceless reaction to realising he'd be marking Virgil van Dijk.

The Dutchman had travelled forward for an attack in Liverpool's Club World Cup Final on Saturday evening.

It seems that the task of marking the 6 foot 4 defender fell on the shoulders of 19-year-old Lincoln.

You could tell that the poor lad was petrified.

Twitter reacted to the moment he realised the huge task on his hands.

When you're only five foot nine as well as being a striker, the odds of coming out on top against the Dutchman are very slim.

Liverpool won the game 1-0 thanks to a Roberto Firmino winner in the first half of extra-time after a goalless 90 minutes.

It's capped a remarkable year for Jurgen Klopp's side who've won every European trophy they can.

Champions League victory in June was followed by the UEFA Super Cup in August, before Saturday's Club World Cup triumph.

Klopp was quick to praise his side for the victory as December has been a crammed month for 'The Reds.'

"We are exhausted from a very intense game but in moments of like this, I struggle to find the right words, to express my respect for the boys," the German told The Independent.

"It was incredible, we did so many good things, everyone was on the edge pretty much and there were so many sensational, good performances," he added.

"I said before I didn't know how it would feel and now I can say it's outstanding."

It was clear for all to see what Lincoln was feeling when he went toe to toe with van Dijk.
