Everton forward Richarlison had the perfect response to a tweet from a Chelsea fan, putting the Blues follower firmly in their place.

Richarlison was part of the Everton team that defeated in-form Chelsea 1-0 at Goodison Park on Saturday evening and took to social media the following morning, writing on Twitter: "Good morning [except] for the whiners."

A Chelsea fan replied with an image of Richarlison on the floor with his head in his hands being berated by Mateo Kovacic.

He accompanied the picture with the words: "I'm sorry that you almost passed away here, little bitch."

Richarlison hit back with a gif of him scoring against Chelsea last season, which was met once more with: "You spent 90 minutes in Reece James' pocket."

Richarlison responded with: "Thanks 3 pts thanks," with several crying laughing emojis.

The Brazilian was a busy man in the Everton dressing room before the game, but not in the way you might think.

Alex Iwobi's Instagram story showed Richarlison getting a haircut from teammate Allan in the minutes leading up to kick-off.

"The fans made a lot of difference, it was a total different atmosphere," said Everton boss Ancelotti afterwards.

"We only had 2,000 fans, but it made me happy, and I hope the stadium will be full as soon as possible."

"We needed this performance and the points after a difficult period," the Italian added. "We lost a little of bit of our confidence, a bit of our attitude.

"Tonight, we won for the spirit, not the quality of the play, we didn't have the ball a lot, but we defended really well."
