The full version of Erling Haaland's interview after Borussia Dortmund's 4-0 win over Schalke shines a completely different light on the 19-year-old superstar.
An edited clip, featuring the tail end of his interview, showed the striker at his monosyllabic best as he batted away four questions in only eight words. However before then the Norwegian was positively upbeat and expansive (well, for him).
Paying tribute to the Dortmund faithful, he cheerfully told the interviewer: "Normally it's 80,000, but we knew we had the support at home from the fans, so we were never afraid of anything.
"We knew that we're going to win and you saw today that we have full control. So a good start."
When asked if he was surprised at how quickly he and his side clicked into gear, he responded: "No, I'm not, I know that many guys on my team have been working hard in this period and I'm not surprised."
On his own incredible form, he explained: "I'm not in the same [condition]. I haven't been playing games, as you say, in seven weeks - so of course not. But I've been working hard in this period and I'm not surprised [to score], no."
His demeanour throughout is relaxed and it's obvious that - while Haaland clearly doesn't relish these post-match chats (who does?) - he's perfectly happy to answer sensible questions.
The goalscoring prodigy has been almost robotically concise in previous interviews, leading some to question whether he is in fact human or some kind of scientific experiment to build the perfect super-striker.
But - perhaps more likely - the teenager dryly enjoys playing up to his deadpan stereotype and giving nothing away, particularly if he believes a question has a fairly obvious answer.
After the Schalke game, Haaland only starts to ration his words when asked about his teammates clapping the home end where Borussia's 'Yellow Wall' would be.

The question is entirely redundant as it's obvious what they were doing: giving a light-hearted tribute to the fans that couldn't be there on Saturday.
So the Haaland enigma is solved. He isn't a robot and is actually perfectly willing to answer questions, so long as they don't insult the intelligence of him and the audience.
Or possibly the experts have just updated Haaland-209's cyborg software, meaning he can now speak in full sentences. You decide.
