Arsenal Post Sentimental Tribute Video But Leave Out Arsene Wenger

Something has gone extraordinarily wrong here.

Arsenal have published a sentimental video via their social media channels to commemorate the managers in their history - the only trouble is they've left out one particularly celebrated manager of the club - Arsene Wenger.

It seems like a huge omission considering Wenger is both the club's longest serving manager and officially their greatest ever, winning three Premier League titles, seven FA Cups and seven Community Shields during his 22-year reign.

Admittedly, during his last several years in charge, Arsenal suffered a slight downfall in form, but he still achieved unprecedented success, with many calls for a statue or a stand to be named in his honour.

The controversial video shows the club's chapters throughout history, starting with Harry Bradshaw, who was Gunners manager from 1899 to 1904. It then goes chronologically, all the way to George Graham, Wenger's predecessor, who managed from 1986 to 1995.

You would expect Wenger to be next, but instead the club's new boss, former Paris Saint Germain manager Unai Emery, emerges under the slogan: "the next chapter." What?

Right now, it's not clear why Wenger doesn't feature in the video. But Arsenal fans have been first to point out this rather large error from the Arsenal social media team.

Maybe they left Wenger out of the video because 'it just goes without saying'? Even still, it still appears a strange and rather massive oversight on their part.

The question now is whether Arsenal will rectify the video, take it down, or release their own statement, explaining the reason why Wenger was left out. Maybe there's some rational explanation to this whole thing. We can't work out what it could be, though.

Why do you think they left Wenger off their video? Let us know in the comments section.
