Adil Rami Sacked By Marseille After 'Skipping Training To Appear On Fort Boyard'

Adil Rami has been sacked by Marseille after skipping training to appear on Fort Boyard, according to reports in France.

The 33-year-old defender appeared on reality television in a mud-wrestling battle in May when he was due to be at training.

And L'Equipe report that Marseille have terminated Rami's contract and left the centre-back looking for a new club.

The incident occurred on May 20, two days after a win over Toulouse during which Rami picked up an injury.

He was expected to report for training as usual, but instead was seen wrestling in mud while carrying his knock.

The Ligue 1 side were reportedly unaware of his appearance on the episode until it aired on June 29, and told Rami not to report for pre-season training.

And now Marseille have reportedly sacked Rami for serious misconduct following the incident.

The latest blow comes after he was dumped and publicly shamed by ex-girlfriend Pamela Anderson on Instagram.

Actress Anderson, 52, posted a picture of the pair with the caption: "The last (more than) 2 years of my life have been a big lie. I was scammed, led to believe ... we were in love. I'm devastated to find out in the last few days.

"I'm glad I spoke to his ex. My God. He lied to her about all too. She's also in shock and is very sad.

"He used to joke about other players who had girlfriends down the street in apartments close to their wives. He called those men monsters... He is the monster."
