Fantasy Premier League Tips For Gameweek 6

Fantasy Premier League Tips For Gameweek 6

Tips, transfers and captain advice for Fantasy Premier League gameweek 6.

The return of the Premier League marks the return of Fantasy Football for all the fanatics out there, with an interesting gameweek ahead of us.

Cristiano Ronaldo has already scored 19 points since his return to Manchester United, and has a better XG (expected goals) rate than any other player in the league over the last two games with 3.33.

Despite his price recently increasing, is the Portuguese forward now a required asset for FPL players, or should you be looking elsewhere for points?

We'll take a look at some of the best transfers to make, tips for your team and captain contenders.

Michail Antonio (West Ham)

The Jamaica international is well rested having served a one-match ban after receiving a suspension in gameweek 4 and already has more points than any other forward in the game (39) so far this season. With a fixture away to Leeds United coming up this weekend, Antonio can be expected to add to his tally. Marcelo Bielsa's men have failed to keep a cleansheet in any of their league games thus far this season.

Price: £7.9m, points: 39, stats: 4G, 4A

Ismaila Sarr (Watford)

On the back of his best ever haul in FPL, Sarr faces the struggling Newcastle United next, who have yet to win a single game this season. Sarr recorded a brace and huge 15 points away to Norwich last time out and at only 9.1% ownership, could be a great differential to help you climb your mini leagues.

Price: £6.1m, points: 30, stats: 3G, 0A

Harvey Barnes (Leicester)

Now, now. Harvey Barnes has yet to make a single return so far this season, yes, but with his price and ownership decreasing, again he could be a solid differential for you to consider bringing in. Barnes has showed great attacking potential already this season and is ready to burst into life up against a weak Burnley team on Saturday. Prior to a bad injury, Barnes returned nine goals and five assists last season, a solid return that is worth gambling on.

Price: £6.8m, points: 11, stats: 0G, 0A

Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)

OK, fair enough, you can't really look beyond Ronaldo if you want guaranteed points. Rested midweek and having already scored three times for his club this season, Ronaldo has a favourable fixture at home to Aston Villa in which he will be expected to return points. At £12.7m, he will be one of your premium options but ask yourself, can you really afford to say no to one of the greatest goalscorers of all time?

Price: £12.7m, points: 19, stats: 3G, 0A

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

If you haven't got Salah as one of your set and forget players at this point, then you're either an Everton support or might need to reconsider playing this game. The Egyptian King has returned in all but one games this season, and has scored in each of his last three. With Liverpool back to full strength and looking their very best again, you need him in your team at all costs. Away to Brentford, despite their good defence so far this season, should see Salah return again.

Price: £12.6m, points: 50, stats: 4G, 3A

Other transfer options to consider: Jamie Vardy, Demarai Gray, Conor Gallagher, Said Benrahma, Adam Armstrong.

Captain contenders: Michail Antonio, Jamie Vardy, Cristiano Ronaldo.
