Five Most Expensive Fantasy Football Players In Each Position

The Premier League is just around the corner so it's time to pick your team and then inevitably make 1000 transfers before it all starts.

We've had a nice summer when club rivalries have taken a back seat to everything else so it's now time to pick up hostilities and draw up the battle lines again because Premier League Fantasy Football is back and there's nothing better than beating your mates.

The World Cup was a nice time for everyone as we generally forgot which of England's brave Three Lions played for which Premier League club and we just got behind the boys. Even if you aren't from here you obviously wanted football to come home...

But the magic hue of the World Cup has finally worn off. It's been over a week since France beat Croatia in the final and without football on everyday it's felt like a hell of a lot longer.

Twitter's already proved this week that we're all back to club rivalries with all sorts of arguments already kicking off, especially Manchester United and Liverpool fans going at it over transfer fees- boy what a rush.

But fans shouldn't be putting all their energy to arguing about the teams they support, they should be carefully plotting their friends' downfalls on Fantasy Football.

So if you're yet to think about it all we've got your back with news of the top five most expensive players in each position:

It will come as a surprise to literally no one who didn't live under a rock for the entirety of the Premier League season last term that Mo Salah's £13 million price tag makes him the most expensive player this season. Salah's position as a midfielder might confuse some though

Harry Kane equally in second, and the most expensive forward, isn't a surprise either but most managers will be avoiding him until August if they have any sense.

Antonio Valencia's position in the top five might befuddle some but the United right back was the fourth highest scorer in that position during last year's competition.

Who will you be signing for your team?
