It's perfectly fine to wear a pair of Adidas trainers to a football match, after all Adidas is synonymous with football culture. But most people will agree that it's a bit weird if you turn up to the game in a pair of trainers with your club's badge on.
Well we could well see a Liverpool fan doing just that in the near future. A pair of Adidas Samba trainers made in China devoted to the Reds are being flogged on Ebay for £2,800.
The trainers are said to be a factory sample created by Adidas, but never actually reached the production stage and do not come in a box. That isn't stopping the seller from demanding close to £3,000 for them though. They are the only trainers of their kind in the world.
As seen on the eBay Auction page, the trainers come in a UK size 8.5 and are apparently "100% genuine". Shirts, scarves and the like are part of the match-going experience but surely a pair of trainers tailored towards your club is a bit daft?
In all truth, most people wouldn't even accept payment to wear those to the match. However, if the seller can find a buyer then kudos to them for making nearly £3,000 on an atrocious pair of trainers.
