He may be one of the most highly rated young players in the world, but even Gabriel Jesus is not immune from having the occasional stinker in front of goal.
And last night, Manchester City's Brazilian prodigy produced one of the worst misses we've seen during this pre-season.
On the stroke of half-time during City's International Champions Cup clash with Tottenham in Nashville, last night, Kevin de Bruyne sprung through Spurs' defence and, with Jesus tearing into the penalty area to join him, the Belgian rolled the ball across the six-yard box, expecting to the net bulge a second later.

Instead, Jesus somehow managed to guide the ball high and wide, with his effort coming closer to resembling a defensive clearance than a genuine attempt on goal.

The former Santos wonderkid's expression afterwards says it all. He can't seem to quite believe how he didn't manage to extend City's lead.

Fortunately for the 20-year-old, his missed sitter would matter very little, with City running out comfortable 3-0 winners in Nashville, thanks to goals from John Stones, Raheem Sterling and youngster Brahim Diaz putting Mauricio Pochettino's team to the sword.
Jesus will be hoping to hit the ground running next term after his initial momentum upon joining City was halted last season when he broke his metartarsal in only his fourth game for the Citizens. He would return before the end of the campaign and finished the season with seven goals in 11 appearances.
