Tis the season where football fans will inevitably get bought some item of club merchandise or other. Everton fans who opened up their presents to find one t-shirt won't be impressed in the slightest though.
It's not been a great season for Everton, until recently at least. The Toffees were expected to challenge the top six in the Premier League after spending £150 million in the transfer window, even if they did lose Romelu Lukaku.
But things went pretty wrong from the off and Ronald Koeman was sacked after a dreadful start to the season. It then took a month for the club to appoint a new manager, which didn't help them in the slightest, eventually plumping for Sam Allardyce.

However if they thought early performances on the pitch were something to be embarrassed about then they've seen nothing yet, someone in the merchandising team is going to be in trouble.
Liverpool fans started to notice that a t-shirt on sale in the Everton store actually featured a picture of Liverpool fans on the Kop and not fans at Goodison Park:
Everton it seems have already removed the shirt from their website after the embarrassing incident. They'll definitely be doing better Googling for their next design.

It's one back for Liverpool in the Merseyside retail game between the two teams. Everton are well ahead after naming their shop in the city's 'Liverpool One' shopping centre 'Everton Two' so the address reads 'Everton Two, Liverpool One'- just perfect!
