You Can Feel The Awkwardness As Aubameyang Gets Trolled By Richie

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was involved in the most awkward non-handshake after the game against Newcastle yesterday.

Matt Richie's winner compounded the Gunners to more away day misery in 2018, with Arsene Wenger's side still yet to pick up a single point on the road this year.

Not only did former Bournemouth man winner Richie bag another memorable St James' Park winner to add to his collection, he also trolled Aubameyang big-time and made him look a bit of a fool post-match.

The Gabon international shared a hug with Ayoze Perez, scorer of Newcastle's equaliser, but his interaction with the matchwinner didn't go so well.

Richie raised his hands for an embrace, and like all of us have done before, Aubameyang, putting his hand out, thought it was for him. It wasn't, it was for Richie's teammate, Perez.

Arsenal's club-record signing had to turn away and pretend nothing had happened.

Poor Pierre. You can almost feel the awkwardness.

The result pretty much guarantees Newcastle's top-flight safety, while Arsenal are now just two points ahead of seven-placed Burnley.
