Ray Wilkins' Prediction For Where Sevilla Would Finish In The Premier League Is Mental

Ray Wilkins' Prediction For Where Sevilla Would Finish In The Premier League Is Mental

Pundits talking absolute nonsense is no surprise, but Ray Wilkins' comments on Sevilla have especially caused a stir.

The Andalusian outfit are United's last 16 opponents in the Champions League, with Jose Mourinho's side playing the first leg away from home at Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, where Sevilla are typically strong.

They won the Europa League three years on the trot from 2013 to 2016 and are currently in fifth place in La Liga.

However, former Chelsea assistant Wilkins reckons they'd be near the bottom if they were in the Premier League.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said:

"I think it's tricky but I don't think it's anything that should really stand in the way is it? You know, where would Sevilla be in the Premier League? Bottom six, probably."

Washed up footballers-turned-pundits regular spew nonsense but Wilkins has reached new levels there. He's been ripped into on Twitter for his ludicrous opinion:
