It's Official, Arsenal Don't Like Playing Stoke Away

A cold, wet Tuesday night in Stoke

It's been well-documented for some time that playing Stoke away from home isn't particularly satisfying, ever since the Potteries were promoted to the top flight.

Countless sides have struggled when playing at the Bet365 (Brittania) Stadium, especially Arsene Wenger's Arsenal who have had immense difficulty when playing Stoke.

Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny confirmed that he doesn't like playing Stoke away in an interview with L'Equipe. He points towards the Stadium being exposed to the wind too much as a disadvantage when taking to the pitch at the Brittania.

While Mark Hughes has got Stoke playing a free-flowing style of play that is easy on the eye, there's still that rough and ready edge to the Stoke side even if the likes or Rory Delap and Andy Wilkinson aren't kicking lumps out of opposition players anymore.

The Gunners could only manage a 0-0 draw at the Brittania last season but luckily for them, their trip in the coming season is in the latter stages of the campaign so they might enjoy the experience a bit better.
