He's had an absolute nightmare

The Panenka penalty is a fine art. Unfortunately, not every professional football player can master it - even at international level.

The famous chipped spot-kick straight down the middle is one of the true marks of showmanship in world class players. The likes of French legend Zinedine Zidane and Italy's classiest maestro Andrea Pirlo are amongst the elite group of players with the right amount of panache to pull it off successfully.

If it comes off, you're a genius. But if it doesn't, well, you leave yourself open to ridicule.

Sadly for Venezuela's Luis Seijas, he fell into the latter category and was left red-faced by his horrendous effort. Seijas and his team-mates were awarded a penalty while trailing Argentina 2-0 at the Copa America. The midfielder stepped up full of confidence as he looked to drag his country back into the match.

But he fluffed it by chipping the ball straight into Argentine keeper Sergio Romero's hands.

Argentina went on to eventually win the match with a comfortable 4-1 result to reach the semi-finals of the tournament.
