Jack Wilshere's Twitter Takeover Did Not Go According To Plan

Jack Wilshere isn't everyone's favourite footballers. Arsene Wenger, Roy Hodgson and Arsenal fans are probably amongst the minority of people who like him, or at least that's the impression we get from his Twitter takeover.

In fairness to Arsenal's injury prone midfielder whenever these things get done on social media there's always a bit of a backlash. Remember Steven Gerrard being asked how he felt knowing if Ryan Giggs' wife divorced him she'd have six more Premier League medals than him? We aren't sure if it's more awkward for the United legend or the Liverpool legend that the scenario is becoming a reality.

Wilshere's unfortunate injury record as well as his very open mockery of Spurs, troubles with the law and news about his not so football friendly social activities lead him to being a bit of an easy target and whilst there was a smattering of "Who should Arsenal sign next season?" amongst the #AskJackWilshere hashtag there were more brutal put downs:

Of course Wilshere could have the last laugh on Monday when Roy Hodgson names his initial 30 man squad for Euro 2016.
