Divock Origi had a game to forget against Hoffenheim on Saturday.

With first-team opportunities hard to come by at Liverpool, the Belgium international has been loaned out to Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga but it hasn't gone so smoothly.

Origi has managed just five goals in 27 outings so far this term and the worst moment of his career came at the weekend, in the 3-0 humbling at the hands of Hoffenheim.

The Lille youth product started the home game but was barely involved in the game and touched the ball just 15 times in his time on the game.

He was so invisible that after 42 minutes, he was hooked from the game and compounded to humiliation. There was no injury, it was purely tactical from Bruno Labbadia.

Struggling Wolfsburg, who only just about avoided relegation to the second tier last season, are 15th in the league. Sporting director Olaf Rebbe had the following to say about Origi's display after the game, as per ESPN.

"We'll discuss behind closed doors what the reason for [his performance] was.

"This was not a good match from Divock, you need to make that clear. We need to analyse how those 42 minutes could happen. This was not what we agreed upon during the week."

With Origi so below-par this term, it's difficult to see him forcing his way back into the Liverpool first-team, and you'd think he's at the back of the queue when it comes to Belgium's World Cup squad.
