Manchester United Fans Have Rated Only 3 Players Worse Than Alexis Sanchez

Fans of Jose Mourinho's side are clearly not impressed with their new signing since he moved from Arsenal in January.

Manchester United fans felt like their team were getting one over rivals Manchester City when they were able to sign Alexis Sanchez. Now though they think only three of their players have had a worse season.

In January it looked like Pep Guardiola was going to succeed where he'd failed in the previous summer and actually sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal before his contract expired at the end of the season.

Instead Jose Mourinho saw the chance to take a small victory against his arch nemesis and sign Sanchez from under his nose. Only Mourinho and Guardiola's rivalry is starting to mirror that of Sideshow Bob and Bart Simpson. Whenever it looks like Jose is going to win one something hilariously unfortunate happens.

In essence Alexis Sanchez is a garden rake that Jose has stepped on and smacked into his own face.

After spending all the money in the world to pay the former Barcelona winger's wages the Red Devils have been repaid with one goal in 10 games and elimination from the Champions League.

And fans clearly aren't happy with him. In a poll in the Manchester Evening News fans rated the players out of 10 and only three players did worse than Sanchez who was rated 3.7. Daley Blind got a 3 out of 10 rating with Zlatan Ibrahimovic given 2.9 and Matteo Darmian bottom of the pile with 2.4.

At the top of the table only four players have got a rating of 7 or above with David de Gea the best player with 8.7 followed by Romelu Lukaku with 7.7, Jesse Lingard with 7.3 and Nemanja Matic with 7.2.

Below them is Sergio Romero, the backup keeper has only played nine games across all competitions for Jose Mourinho's team this season so it's truly telling that his 6.9 rating has him as the fifth highest performing United player this season.

Sanchez could soon find himself in this list of United flops:

Luke Shaw's 15th placed rating of 5 shows that perhaps United fans think he's doing better than Mourinho does but not as well as the Twitter support for him suggests.

Above Sanchez are also Marouane Fellaini, Marcos Rojo and Chris Smalling, all thought to be having poor seasons.
