Shkodran Mustafi might have been told he could leave Arsenal and not featured for the Gunners this season but according to leaks he's rated higher on FIFA 20 than Joel Matip.
The German defender has become more a figure of fun for Arsenal fans and he is yet to get a game this season after being poor last season for Unai Emery's team.
However according to leaks of FIFA 20 ratings, this year's edition of the game gives him a boost from his 2019 rating from 82 to 83, that means he's above Champions League winner Joel Matip.
Mustafi's form last season caused Unai Emery to go out and buy David Luiz from Chelsea and the Brazilian has become the first choice centre back at the Emirates instantly.
Emery revealed that he'd told Mustafi that he could leave the club, although no move transpired, and he's yet to even feature on the bench for the Premier League team this season.
In contrast Matip played in Liverpool's Champions League final against Spurs last season and has usurped Joe Gomez in Jurgen Klopp's side.
The Cameroon international, who joined the club for free in 2016, has been much improved with Virgil van Dijk alongside him and they've become the team's first choice partnership.
EA revealed the top 100 ranked players on FIFA 20 this week, with the game coming out on September 24th, but they won't reveal what everyone's ranking is until Monday.
Neither Mustafi or Matip are in the list but of course UEFA's Player of the Year Virgil van Dijk is, along with 26 of the best defenders in the world.
With just over two weeks until FIFA 20 gets released which player do you think deserves an upgrade on their rating since last year? Let us know in the comments.
