Erm, what's going on here, then, Jamie?

Jamie Carragher was once regarded as one of the Premier League's most fearsome and sound defenders but it appears his abilities are slipping away with old age.

The former Liverpool centre-back was in action in a friendly yesterday with his old pal and Sky Sports colleague Gary Neville, and put his club rivalries aside to play alongside Manchester United's famous Class of '92 stars.

The likes of Neville, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes were joined by other Premier League legends, such as Carragher, Dwight Yorke and Shay Given, to take on Salford City to mark the non-league side opening its new stadium.

To be honest, although they might be getting on in years, you'd perhaps expect the legends' talents to shine through, even if their legs have gone a bit.

But Carragher was responsible for a comical piece of defending which he probably won't want to see again in a hurry:

The match ended in an entertaining 4-4 draw, with Danny Webber scoring a hat-trick for the Class of '92.

We would love to see this little clip analysed on the next episode of Monday Night Football.
