He didn't take the defeat well.

Your team's result can really change your mood, be it for the better or worse, and it gets more intense when you've played against a fierce rival. It's important to to go too far though, like this guy following El Clasico.

There isn't a single one of us who hasn't gone a bit over the top when our team has scored a goal or won a match of significant importance.

Personally I can remember going mad when I thought Raheem Sterling had scored in the 2014 World Cup Group game against Italy, only realise that the ball had hit the outside of the netting.

Still pretty certain Sterling's long range shot in Brazil went in. Image: PA Images.

I also sat and watched my flatmate lose his mind last week when Bristol City scored their late winner against Manchester United, jumping around the lounge like a wonderful lunatic.

But games that go against our teams can see us sitting in the dark wondering what might have been. But one Real Madrid fan took it too far.

According to Romanian news outlet Digi 24 a 70 year old man set fire to his house in Arad following Barca's 3-0 win and was saved by a carer who lived a few doors away.

The old man is believed to have taken a lit stick to his oven and needed to be rescued, damaging his furniture and walls but the house wasn't too badly damaged.

The Romanian confirmed after being saved and unharmed that he knew exactly what he was doing and had no regrets to his actions after his team's loss.

The game was 0-0 at half time but in the second half Ernesto Valverde's side turned it on. Luis Suarez opened the scoring before Daniel Carvajal's sending off led to Lionel Messi scoring from the spot. Aleix Vidal made it 3-0 in injury time.

That result left Real 14 points behind their fierce rivals in La Liga heading into the Christmas break.
