We've all watched on as our team were getting beaten, getting every more frustrated at players making mistakes and shouting at them, telling them we could do better. The difference is that most of us aren't Lionel Messi.

Every fan reckons they know they can do better than the manager and could do better than the players even though they've never even done well as a Sunday league player never mind a professional.

Obviously for most of us it's just bravado and nonsense coming to the surface because are team are turning in such nonsense that the crowd couldn't really do any worse at the most.

This is what you all really look like playing football:

Last night the whole of Argentina must have been watching their team get battered by Spain 6-1 and as the goals poured in and the defence crumbled they'd all have been thinking 'I could do better than this lot.'

One man looking on who definitely would have done better was Lionel Messi. The Barcelona superstar was out with an injury so had to watch from the stands as his countrymen failed.

At 6-1 the 30 year old was seen to have had enough of the game, walking away from his seat, but new footage shows that he'd been left frustrated throughout the 90 minutes:

During the match Gonzalo Higuain missed a relatively easy chance with the game at 0-0 before Diego Costa grabbed the opener, Isco scored a hat-trick and Thiago and Iago Aspas both grabbed goals too.

At 2-0 Nicolas Otamendi grabbed one back but at no point did Spain look in trouble.

With Messi in the team Argentina have reached the last three finals in international tournaments, at the World Cup four years ago and at two Copa Americas, but lost all three finals.

Can Messi and Argentina win the World Cup?
