Alessandro Florenzi Asked Ridiculous Question About Cristiano Ronaldo
Roma player Alessandro Florenzi was asked a ridiculous question about Cristiano Ronaldo playing in Italy at the weekend, that made him come across as some sort of deity, despite Florenzi having 28 international caps to his name.
Italy has now been hit with Cristiano Ronaldomania. It shows similar symptoms to the old Beatlemania, rather than Wrestlemania, only instead of screaming out loud it leads to loads of tweets about why he's better than Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo shocked everyone by moving from La Liga to Serie A this summer and making a near £90 million move to Juventus after nearly a decade playing for Real Madrid.
It was a huge coup for the Old Lady as they attempt to win the Champions League for just the third time in the competitions history and really made a statement about their ambitions.
He made his debut at the weekend in a win against Chievo where the Italian champions trailed 2-1 with minutes left. He didn't score any goals but Juve did manage to turn things around to win 3-2.
Roma opened their season with a 1-0 win over Juve's Turin rivals Torino and after the game Alessandro Florenzi was up for interview for the television cameras.
If Florenzi was expecting a question about the Rome team he was sadly mistaken. Instead he was asked about Ronaldo, in possibly the most disrespectful interview question ever:

Alessandro Florenzi, professional football player, in Roma's senior squad since seven years back, national team player, almost 200 matches in Serie A is asked if he'd get emotional to sit in front of his tv and watch Cristiano Ronaldo.- Siavoush Fallahi (@SiavoushF) August 21, 2018
This is incredible journalism https://t.co/ItjxA9gvmh
Why in the world would Florenzi get emotional watching Ronaldo play on tv?! He's probably seen Ronaldo play before and plenty of good players have played in Italy before too, Florenzi played with Francesco Totti.
It's not like Serie A is a newly established league with new money or anything, it's bloody Serie A!
Fortunately Florenzi was unaffected by the stupidity of the question and have a brilliant answer for the journalist:

I know Ronaldo moving to Italy is a big deal, but come on lads it's not that huge a deal.
It seems pretty disrespectful to ask Florenzi, who has played 219 games in Serie A, about Ronaldo at the best of times but especially if he would be emotional watching him play, give over!
