Eden Hazard Endured Another Poor Night In The Madrid Derby

Eden Hazard Endured Another Poor Night In The Madrid Derby

Eden Hazard is yet to get going in a Real Madrid shirt and once again the Belgian came under criticism after a below par performance against Atletico Madrid.

It felt like a transfer that had been a career in the making when Hazard moved to the Bernabeu this summer, in a deal worth up to €146.1 million, but so far the move isn't going according to plan.

The former Chelsea forward came under fire after Real's recent Champions League loss to PSG and things didn't improve during Saturday night's Madrid Derby.

AS called it a 'bad day at the office for the Belgian,' whilst MARCA went further in their criticism, saying, "He's lacking pace, form and is still being afforded excuses. A player who cost 100 million euros needs to do more or, at the very least, something. He never showed up at the Wanda Metropolitano."

And fans took to Twitter to dig the boot in more.

Real Madrid Confirm Eden Hazard Is Sidelined With Another Injury

Real did manage to have 14 shots against Diego Simeone's side but only three were on target and after four appearances for his new side Hazard is yet to produce an assist or score a goal.

He was brought off in 77th minute for James Rodriguez and so far this season the former Lille player has been outplayed by both Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale in the front line for Zinedine Zidane's team.

The game was Real's third draw this season but leaves Los Blancos top of La Liga, one point clear of Atleti and Granada and two clear of Barcelona.

If they're to remain top they may need Hazard to start producing the kind of form everyone was expecting, they aren't a patient lot.
