Anthony Martial Has Been Left Out Of The 2019 Manchester United Calendar

Christmas is just around the corner and then we'll be struggling to write 2019 everytime we put the date on stuff.

Anthony Martial's fortunes on the pitch for Manchester United might have improved in recent times but the Frenchman has been left out of the team's calendar for next year, despite some with questionable futures making it.

There was a time, not that long ago, that it seemed almost impossible to think Anthony Martial would remain at Manchester United for much longer.

The Frenchman was one of the players that was underused by Jose Mourinho, under performing and often criticised by the manager on those few occasions when he did get to play. With his contract running out a future didn't look likely.

In recent weeks though the former Monaco man has turned things around to be one of United's best performers, not that being one of United's best players is really that difficult at the moment.

The forward has scored six goals in eight appearances and now looks like he's Mourinho's most dangerous forward with the troubles of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.

However Martial has yet to sign a new deal at Old Trafford and now he's not even in the club calendar for 2019.

Paul Pogba's appearance on the perfect gift for any fan of the Red Devils is probably safe from the club as it's the only month next year they can guarantee he'll be playing.

Similarly Eric Bailly and Alexis Sanchez only go up to June and you can't help but feel there's no long term future for the pair as long as Jose Mourinho is still in charge at Old Trafford.

Despite rumours linking him with a move at the end of the season David de Gea still takes his place as November's calendar model.

Seems harsh on Martial that he's missed out to the likes of Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia, Ander Herrera and Fred, who are hardly as big fan favourites as he is.

Considering Philippe Coutinho was included in this year's Liverpool calendar and Alexis Sanchez was in Arsenal's it's not like these things really help work out outgoing transfers.

Then again both Coutinho and Sanchez were on the January page and left in that month, so beware of Paul Pogba...
