'Disappointed' Sergio Aguero Already Wants To Quit Barcelona After Lionel Messi's Exit, Next Transfer Move Hinted

Sergio Aguero, who is ruled out with an injury, is 'disappointed' by Lionel Messi's exit and could try to force a move away from Barcelona.

Sergio Aguero is already prepared to make a sensational exit from Barcelona after Lionel Messi’s shock move to Paris Saint-Germain, according to stunning reports.

Barcelona were unable to push through a new contract for Messi due to La Liga’s financial rules, despite the six-time Ballon d'Or winner agreeing to a 50 per cent pay cut.

Messi made an emotional exit from the Camp Nou and completed a stunning free transfer to PSG this summer.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta confirmed Barcelona are in a “dramatic” financial crisis as the Spanish club’s debt stands at an astonishing £1.1bn (€1.35bn).

Aguero left Premier League champions Manchester City in the summer after a decade-long spell and completed a free transfer to Barcelona.

The 33-year-old striker was keen to play alongside Argentina teammate Messi at the La Liga club.

However, Aguero is ‘disappointed’ by the Barcelona legend’s departure and could leave the Camp Nou in January.

The Spanish Football Podcast co-host Phil Kitromilides (via Football Espana) has ‘hinted that sources close to Barcelona’ have told him the striker is eyeing up a move to the MLS.

"Tests carried out on first-team player Kun Aguero have confirmed a right calf injury. He will be out around ten weeks," Barcelona confirmed in a statement in early August.

Aguero was brought in during the summer window alongside former City teammate Eric Garcia and Memphis Depay, both of whom were free signings.

Barcelona also paid £8.1m to bring Brazilian right-back Emerson after two seasons on loan at Real Betis.

The club managed to register new signings Depay and Garcia after veteran Barcelona star Gerard Pique agreed to a reduction in his salary.
