Dimitri Payet Made Lionel Messi Dizzy With Outrageous Turn And Skill

Dimitri Payet won the ball back off Lionel Messi and had him spinning in stoppage time.

Lionel Messi has destroyed a whole host of players in his career but last night the six-time Ballon d'Or winner had to contend with being rinsed himself last night.

In stoppage time of the 0-0 draw with Marseille at Stade Velodrome, Dimitri Payet sent Messi back to Newell's Old Boys with a filthy sequence.

Payet dispossessed Messi close to the halfway line when he knocked him off the ball and put him on the turf for a brief second.

He then followed that up by producing a glorious piece of skill to turn Messi and play the ball wide to set up an attack down the right.

For West Ham man Payet has been in the mood this season, scoring five and assisting four so far.

He was unable to make the difference in the latest 'Le Classique', which saw PSG's Achraf Hakimi sent off for a professional foul on Cengiz Under in the second half.

Messi, who is still yet to the find the net in Ligue One for his new club, was involved in a bizarre second half incident where he was chased by a fan who invaded the pitch.

When on the counter attack, Messi was cutting inside in trademark fashion when an individual wearing a puffer jacket and jeans appeared from out of nowhere.

The fan, having somehow gained access to the pitch with relative ease, put an arm around Messi before stewards eventually removed him from the turf.
