Dele Alli In Talks Over Premier League Move, Club Want Clause Included

Dele Alli In Talks Over Premier League Move, Club Want Clause Included

Dele Alli is well out of favour at Tottenham Hotspur and has plenty of potential suitors.

Newcastle United are in talks over a move for Dele Alli, with Spurs reportedly ready to listen to offers.

Alli's stock has dropped massively in recent years and he is said to be unfancied by Antonio Conte, who replaced Nuno Espirito Santo at the helm.

And according to Kevin Palmer from TeamTalk, Newcastle have already made "initial enquiries" for Alli as they look to secure their Premier League status.

With fresh funds available after being taken over by a Saudi Arabia consortium, the Magpies have been tipped to bring in reinforcements in the January transfer window.

They are keen on Alli and wish to bring him to St James' Park on loan but hope to include an option to buy in the deal - should they avoid relegation to the Championship.

Alli was heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain earlier this year and was eager to reunite with Mauricio Pochettino, who got the best out of him at Spurs.

But a deal was never done before the transfer window's deadline and he has continued to find himself out of favour.

Newcastle, incidentally, had been desperate to sign Alli aged 18 when he was making waves at MK Dons.

He joined Spurs in a £5 million move and went on to win the PFA Young Player of the Year back-to-back after scoring 28 goals in his first two seasons in the Premier League.

Once a regular in the England squads, Alli hasn't featured for the national team since 2019 and has started just 22 league games in the past two years.
