Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly make a sensational late bid for Cristiano Ronaldo this transfer window in the hope of pairing him with Lionel Messi.
The Ligue 1 giants completed the signing of six-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi a fortnight ago after the Argentine was unable to sign a new contract at his beloved Barcelona.
And now, with Kylian Mbappe said to be edging ever closer to a move to Real Madrid, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is reportedly determined to bring in fellow Ballon d’Or-hauler Ronaldo if Mbappe leaves the club this summer.
Ronaldo is believed to be keen for a new challenge having grown restless with life at Juventus and even asked to be a substitute for their Serie A opener against Udinese at the weekend.

According to Spanish outlet OK Diario, Al-Khelaifi wants to see Ronaldo play alongside a crop of superstars which include Messi, Neymar, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Marco Verratti.
Their report, however, details that the move will only be viable if Mbappe - who reportedly rejected a new five-year contract at Les Parisiens last month - trades the French capital for the Spanish, in a big-money move.

Essentially, this summer would represent PSG’s last chance of getting a big transfer fee for the 2018 World Cup winner.
The 22-year-old forward’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and it appears that he has no intentions of renewing - especially after vocalising his dream of playing for the Los Blancos one day.
If that does happen, football fans across the world could, potentially, see Ronaldo and Messi - two of the greatest to ever play the beautiful game - line up alongside each other as teammates, instead of opponents. Just imagine.
