Paddy Power have sensationally paid out on Manchester City winning the Premier League ahead of their crunch match against Liverpool.

League leaders Man City head to Anfield on Sunday to face Liverpool who have slumped to two consecutive home defeats following a four-year unbeaten spell.

If the Blues beat their rivals, they will open up a massive 10-point lead over the defending English champions.

But bookmakers Paddy Power think the title race is already over after deciding to pay out on Pep Guardiola's side regaining the league title.

They tweeted: "They think it's all over. Well, it pretty much is, so we've paid out on Man City winning the 2020/21 Premier League. Sorry Liverpool. Sorry Man United.

"Applies to singles, multis and each-way bets placed on the Premier League outright market for the 2020/2021 season."

Man City have returned to their best following a tricky period towards the end of last year.

Since drawing at home to West Brom, Guardiola's team have won nine league games in a row as they sit at the top of the table with a game in hand.

They're three points clear of cross-town rivals Man United who have had a mixed bag of results of late.

The Red Devils dropped points against Sheffield United and Arsenal before smashing Southampton 9-0.

While the title race is supposedly hotting up, Paddy Power reckon it's all over.
