Romelu Lukaku finished off the perfect weekend for himself by suggesting that the Premier League introduces a NBA style North vs South All Star game for the end of the season, but who would make the team?
It was quite the Sunday for Manchester United striker Lukaku. He managed to silence the critics, at least for a while, by scoring and assisting goals in United's big match against his former employers Chelsea to cement a place in the top four, with the Blues now six points back in fifth.
However perhaps his biggest stroke of genius was to come on social media. He took to Twitter to ask the Premier League and FA to run an end of season friendly between a team made up of players playing in the north and those playing in the south.

With the top six so far ahead of everyone else and being made up of three from each half of the country it makes even more sense. But who would make the team?

We decided to put together our XIs, there's even some players from outside the top six:

It's fair to say that David De Gea, Mo Salah and Sergio Aguero were the first names on the team sheets for all of us at SPORTbible HQ but there was far more discussion in defence.
There's far too many injuries and inconsistencies, even at Manchester City, to really know for sure who would make up the best defence. Of course these are partially picked on form and partially picked on class. Joe's choice of the two Burnley centre halves can't be sniffed at.
In the South there was most discussion about who should take up the the third attacking midfield/right wing position with even midland based Riyad Mahrez making an appearance.

Dembele and Kante are both in our South XI having appeared for everyone whilst the defences are pretty much all agreed on but there's some discussion between the two goalkeepers.
There's only space for Ozil when it comes to Arsenal, with plenty of us ignoring the German's place in the side too.
Who would make your teams and who would win?
