Only a day after the nominees were revealed for the end of season PFA awards, Joey Barton has revealed who he believes deserves to take home the various prizes and be named in the PFA Team of The Season, this year.
Despite Chelsea's N'Golo Kante being the firm favourite to take home the PFA Player Of The Year award, having just missed out on the gong last season to former Leicester City teammate Riyad Mahrez, Barton has opted to select Kante's fellow Blue, Eden Hazard as his choice to lift the award.
Last year's Player of the Year is nowhere to be seen on this year's shortlist.

Should Hazard win the vote, it would be his second PFA award and, if Barton proves to share the popular opinion with his vote for Young Player Of The Year, Dele Alli will be joining Hazard in the double winner's club.

As for Barton's Team Of The Year, the Chelsea and Tottenham dominance continues, with eight of his eleven selections coming from the Premier League's current top two teams.
Only Manchester United's Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Everton's Romelu Lukaku and Liverpool's Sadio Mane break up the London dominance in the 35-year-old's XI.

In fairness, it's hard to pick fault with Barton's selections, with all the players chosen enjoying terrific campaigns. We're just a bit gutted the former Manchester City and Newcastle United man didn't pick himself just to wind people up.
Let's not forget, Barton has a long and storied history of generating reactions with his outspoken messages...
What do you make of Barton's choices? Agree, disagree?
