Ralf Rangnick ‘Considering Offloading Marcus Rashford', Barcelona Are Interested

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick is considering offloading Marcus Rashford with Barcelona interested in the striker, according to reports in Spain.

Rashford, 24, missed the start of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery and has since struggled for form, scoring just three times in his 11 appearances.

Spanish newspaper El Nacional claims Rangnick could be willing to sell Rashford, who has spent his entire career at United after breaking into the first-team in the 2015-16 season.

Barcelona have previously been linked with Rashford and are keen to sign a striker following Sergio Aguero’s recent health scare.

However, El Nacional claims that United are likely to want around £60m for the England international, a figure which could prove problematic for cash-strapped Barcelona.

According to reports in Spain, Rashford agreed to join the Catalan giants back in 2018 before pulling out of the move over fears he would not fit in at the Nou Camp.

Instead, he agreed to sign a new contract at Old Trafford in 2019 and has since gone on to score 96 goals in 298 games for the club.

Meanwhile, another Manchester United forward could also be on his way out of the club.

Anthony Martial’s agent Philippe Lamboley says the France international wants to leave Old Trafford in search of more first-team football.

Martial, 26, has only started twice in the Premier League this season, with his opportunities limited by the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho.

“Anthony wishes to leave the club in January,” Lamboley told Sky Sports News.

“He just needs to play. He doesn’t want to stay in January and I will speak to the club soon”.
